Event Description

In the spring of 2004 the anti-capitalist Spartacus Bookstore was burnt to the ground, only to be resurrected again right next to its former home on Hastings Street. Since February 5th 2006 it has been officially opened to the public and is again serving the larger community. On the other hand there is radical folky-country singer JOEY ONLY, that would be me. In the last year I played numerous concerts in no less than six provinces, eight major urban Canadian centres, and dozens of smaller cities, towns, trains, streets and protests while recieving radio airplay in three continents!! At many of those shows I was able to put on three and four sets of music, sometimes playing for three hours or more in towns like Toronto, Peterborough, Edmonton, Whitehorse, Ottawa and whatnot.... more...
