Event Description

“The Turning Point—One Artist’s Journey” is a solo art show by mixed media artist Barb DeRousie. This is the first time this work has been exhibited together and Barb invites you to take in her newfound way of making art and feel the freedom she feels when making it. Barb spent several years painting with watercolour in a representational style, entering several shows such as the RAW Ovation Art Show in 2018 and a solo art show at the Westridge Gallery, Victoria, BC, and doing many commissions. Barb’s curiosity about using acrylic medium and painting more abstractly led her to sign up for a free 5 day workshop by Art2Life founder and abstract artist, Nicholas Wilton.
