"Barb"

Barb spent her first years as an artist painting with watercolour in a representational style and most recently is exploring the mystery and freedom of mixed media abstract.

Her inspiration is constantly fed by the force of nature. Raised on BC’s West coast, the daughter of a lighthouse keeper, as a child Barb spent the majority of her time in the outdoors with the privilege of peace and solitude.

Today she still gets most of her inspiration from nature—although that may not literally be apparent in her abstract work—she still derives the feelings she gets from the beauty of nature and translates that into her art.
