Event Description

The UVic Orchestra, conducted by Ajtony Csaba, performs Mozart’s Symphony No. 35 in D Major, K. 385, “Haffner” Georg Friedrich Haas’s e finisci già?, Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9 in E minor, "From the New World", as well as the world premiere of a new piece entitled Cântece by Max Murray. This concert is inspired by the title of Dvořák’s “From the New World” symphony, by turning towards the future in presenting new and recently discovered musical “worlds” and landscapes. Mozart’s D Major Symphony is the musical point of reference in the first half.
