Join us for an incredible night of 3 performances! Shanika Maria is a singer-songwriter from Hamilton, Ontario. Her lyrics tell a story, often raw and haunting, whose voice ranges from small and sweet to loud and emotional. She is the recent winner of the Songs Revealed songwriting competition out of Durham College for her two songs, "Man or Monster" and "Childish Games". Her music falls under the folk genre, which she accompanies with guitar and piano. Zoubi Arros grew up exploring the serene forests of a small island off the west coast of Canada. Hornby Island, B.C. Her raw and honest lyrics are dusted throughout the folk/ska acoustic guitar riffs and articulated with soothing vocals. Feist, Metric and The Black Keys are a few artists that have helped inspire Zoubi's melodies. ... more...
