Karel has played professionally around the world for more than 50 years, has recorded 16 of his own albums, and composed extensively for television, film, and video. He has played and recorded with countless performers, and produced for Valdy, Maureen Washington, Garnett Betts and many others. His latest piano solo recording featured original music based on bird songs collected on a camping trip across Canada with his wife, artist Brenda Alexander Roessingh, and recorded on a Steinway grand piano in the lowest level of the View Street Parkade.
