The Spire

A notable Kingston landmark in the heart of the city for over 160 years. The Spire is an anchor heritage building and venue in the historic “Old Sydenham Heritage Conservation District” in downtown Kingston, built by the Methodists in 1851. For generations it has been a place where community members have gathered to worship as well as to receive support, sing, learn, rehearse, perform and attend concerts. Every week over 1,200 Kingstonians use The Spire to create music, to plan programs, to find counsel, and to gather for learning and support. The Performance Hall at The Spire The Performance Hall at The Spire is Kingston’s undiscovered venue in the heart of the downtown! A 5,600 sq. ft. adaptable and flexible space, The Spire is ideal for professional and community performances. Seating for 700 people in this intimate hall will ensure the success of your event. The Spire is home to additional performance spaces including a large hall, with a stage and sound system, that can seat apprx. 200, and a smaller hall that can fit apprx. 80 people. The facility is home to two commercially designated kitchens, and has offices, and a meeting conference room available for rentals.
