The Nebraska outfit, led by boy genius Conor Oberst, has been hailed from its earliest records as a band with potential greatness. That’s a lot of weight to have to carry around, but Oberst’s commitment to his ideals and the craft of songwriting has meant that he has not disappointed in any regard. His most recent Bright Eyes records, the simultaneously released I’m Wide Awake, It’s Morning and Digital Ash in a Digital Urn, brought his work to a wider audience and surprised even those fans with already high expectations.
