Victoria Folk Music Society weekly gathering; Everyone welcome jam 6:45pm, Open Stage 7:30pm, Feature Performer Nathan Tinkham at 9pm; Norway House, 1110 Hillside Avenue, $8 cash at the door Nathan Tinkham's playing career goes right back to the beginning of the VFMS! He started busking in Bastion Square back in 1972, advanced to the local bar scene then began touring in 1980. Along the way he’s played and recorded with many people including Ian Tyson, Cindy Church, Diamond Joe White, Wilf Carter, Patsy Montana, Jethro Burns, Charlie Louvin, the Undertaking Daddies and more! Working mostly as a sideman, Nathan also began writing songs and has had many of his own compositions recorded by other people.
