Tyler Brett Forkes is a Kingston, Ontario-based singer / songwriter whose well-crafted original songs range in style from poignant storytelling to light-hearted blues numbers. Falling in the genre of “Americana,” his influences include John Prine, Jimmy Buffett, Cat Stevens, Lucinda Williams and more. Tyler is a crowd favourite and performs regularly in and around the Kingston area, as well as in Toronto, where he has opened for multiple Juno Award-winning songwriters, including Russell de Carle of Prairie Oyster, Canadian songwriting legend David Bradstreet, and bluesman Morgan Davis.
