In support of their freshly released singles, 'Dreamers In a Rut,' and 'Groovin' At Wil,' Base Collective will be making their Victoria debut at Upstairs Cabaret on July 13th. A six-piece combo of live instruments and vocalists—pulling members from Port Renfrew, Sooke and Shawnigan Lake—Base Collective is the new group on the South Island scene. Genres are in the blender; rock, funk, hip hop, blues and jazz, are whisked into new and original music. Along with Sarah Osborne & The Magic Buttons (sultry folk rock with a psychedelic country twist) and SHALE (polished alternative rockers) bringing their A-game for the occasion, Base Collective is coming for Victoria with everything they've got.
