_____AVERSIONS_____ Since 2019, Aversions' potent mix of post-punk, post-hardcore, and art-rock has drawn likenesses to Fugazi, La Dispute and Protomartyr, and situated the band within Vancouver's emerging noise-rock scene. Influenced by the contradictions of their hometown, the trio's lyrics and music paint a portrait of a city caught in the middle of violent and opposing forces. Their imminent third release, You Wanted the Bike, sees them solidifying the sturdy textures of 2022's Sharp Left Turns EP while exploring emptier spaces with the help of guitar, bass, piano and synth.
