Event Description
_____NOEDY______ Noedy Hechavarria Duharte comes from Santiago de Cuba, a city Cubans affectionately call “la tierra caliente” (the warm land). In Cuba, Noedy studied at the Alvaro Variel Conservatory in Havana and played in various bands the Tropicana in Santiago de Cuba and the National Cabaret in Havana. He participated as one of the actors in the acclaimed film El Benny directed by Jorge Luis Sánchez and released in 2006. After he arrived in Quebec, he was selected at the School of Music at the University of Sherbrooke in the Jazz Music Performance bachelor program, which he completed in 2013. In 2014, he moved permanently to Victoria to stay with his family.
