Event Description

Romantic Europe opens the Civic Orchestra of Victoria's 36th season. The program features Bruckner's monumentally bold, yet strangely subtle sixth symphony, two contrasting overtures by Mendelssohn and Brahms, and Borodin's beautifully tuneful symphonic poem, 'In the Steppes of Central Asia'. Prepare to be transported to the concert halls of Romantic Europe, circa 1880, as you listen.
