ReVisions promises to be very intriguing. Some say that an artist paints a particular moment in time and, by so doing, both the artist AND the artist’s world have been changed, thereby making it impossible to replicate the result. Elaine Hughes explores this concept through a series of paintings of identical scenes. An active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists, Elaine has exhibited in both their local shows and their gallery on Granville Island, Vancouver. Now working primarily in watercolour, she has participated in many group exhibitions in Edmonton, Alberta, as well as in the Victoria area, including the Sooke Fine Arts Show and the Sidney Fine Art Show.
