Support these talented local artists as they play their hearts out to ring in the spring equinox and the Persian new year (a few days early)! Sunday, March 10 Doors: 8pm Tickets: $10 online, $15 at the door http://littlefires.eventbrite.ca/?s=92095725 The theme, Little Fires, is based on the rituals of Charshanbe Suri, the festival celebrating the Persian New Year. Nowruz, the first day of the Iranian calendar falls on the spring equinox. In the month leading up to Nowruz, the holiday is celebrated by gathering together, lighting firecrackers and jumping over little bonfires as a cleansing ritual.
