Event Description
This is going to mark history in the making for our Island and the rest of Canada when Victor Rice comes in for an exclusive concert to talk about his experiences as a music producer and musician. This night will also include film screenings including a film produced by the Victoria BC Ska Society. Victor Rice is a legendary ska musician and producer in the world of ska, dub and reggae. He regularly tours with his octet throughout Europe, Canada and the US as well as doing production on albums with various Brazilian musicians in San Paulo where he also resides part-time annually. Victor Rice is also a talented bass player that has played with New York’s best ska bands and notably was one of Desmond Dekker's Aces in the early 1990s.
