Event Description
MIDI SYNC is hosted by Garden City Electronic Music Society and the Copper Owl. This is the 5TH night in this series. MIDI SYNC performances include a local cast of curated synthers carefully navigating the maze that is MIDI technology. An educational experience for players and non players alike. How it works: - 8 players take one MIDI clock signal to sync to their gear - then players are randomly selected in pairs to jam out 20 min pieces - once the first round of 20 minute performances are complete, performers are then placed in randomly selected groups of 4 - master jam! all 8 musicians work together to create one sonic masterpiece The set up is open concept on the dance floor so that spectators can observe how each player is putting together their sonics using various ... more...Event Poster
