Twin Bill with Antonio Sanchez and Migration & Kenny Werner Trio With four Grammys on the mantle and after participating on more than a hundred CDs with jazz luminaries such as Dizzy Gillespie, Pat Metheny, Chick Corea, and Joshua Redman, it is clear that Mexican-born Antonio Sanchez is one of the greatest drummers of his generation. He has also emerged latterly as a gifted composer. He composed and performed the solo percussion score for ‘Birdman or (the Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance)’, the 2015 “Best Picture” Oscar winner. Based out of New York since 1999, the hard-working Sanchez released a new album in 2014, Three Times Three, on which he anchors three different trios.
