Following the April 7th release of their first LP of original songs in eight years ‘Modern Blues,’ The Waterboys have confirmed an extensive North American tour. Waterboys founder/frontman Mike Scott will be joined by legendary Muscle Shoals bassist David Hood (in his first tour since playing with Traffic in 1972), soul deep Texas guitarist Zach Ernst (Black Joe Lewis, The Relatives), drummer Ralph Salmins (Van Morrison), longtime Waterboys fiddler Steve Wickham, and Memphis keyboardist “Brother” Paul Brown. “Modern Blues” was released in the UK in January to raves.
