Event Description
Amsterdam based composer/flautist and electronics musician Anne la Berge and Montreal composer/clarinetist Lori Freedman will collaborate with Mind of a Snail, Vancouver’s shadow compost modern shadow puppetry duo and Orkestra Futura to create an event of beauty and intricacy. There will be the sound of searching, singing bugs, a compositional expression of Canadian feminist history and unique instrumental pairings in a journey of collage, contrast and juxtaposition. The raw, energetic improvisational force of Orkestra Futura will fill the sublime Pyatt Hall. Mind of a Snail projections will move with and in contrast to the music, intermingling the stunning visual and aural aspects of the sensory experience. And... there will be chocolate!!
