Vancouver Island Cajun band, Bijoux Du Bayou, brings high-energy music combining Cajun, Zydeco, Swing, Calypso, and a few other flavors to create a sound that would make the Amish want to do the Bugaloo! Although still strongly Cajun and Zydeco rooted, you can hear New Orleans, Tex-Mex , Calypso, Swing, Rock and Country elements coming through Bijoux's distinct sound. When asked to describe their music, any one of band members will usually scratch their head and say, "Well, it's a bit tough to describe....but it's a lot of fun to dance to!"
