Justly compared to James Brown, the groove-heavy Fields disappeared for awhile before re-emerging in the ‘90s as a soul-blues belter working the Southern circuit. Fields has reached an ever-wider audience in the last few years with great CDs such as "My World," "Treacherous," and last year’s "Faithful Man."
