Billy + Joe: Departing from their punk rock roots, Billy the Kid and Joe McMahon have joined forces to form the aptly titled Billy + Joe, a project consisting of acoustic folk melodies mixed with piano ballads. Billy hails from Vancouver, Canada and fronts Billy and the Lost Boys and Billy the Kid and the Southside Boys. Mcmahon is the front man of Fat Wreck Chords' Smoke or Fire. A chance encounter at one of Billy's shows in Joe's home town of Richmond, Virginia got the two discussing writing a record together.
