China Syndrome is a rockin' melodic power pop band from Vancouver, combining the driving pop hooks of The New Pornographers and Guided By Voices, with liberal dollops of old favourites such as XTC and the Replacements. Their self-titled 2007 album has been lauded as "one CD that should be on everyone's 'must have' list" (International Pop Overthrow) and "a grower" (Tom Harrison, The Province). They've recently completed their second album which will be released in January 2011.
