Event Description

Vancouver Island's Homegrown Reggae & Groove Festival The people have demanded it! More Dub, more Reggae, more groovin' world rythyms. And so the Forward Fest was born. Located on Vancouver Island beside the Sooke river, about 30 minutes from Victoria, B.C. This year we are excited to present Ganga Giri and band from Australia with their unique tribal-technological deep earth dance experience. We're also happy to be bringing Souljah Fyah, a high-energy female fronted Reggae band out of Edmonton, Alberta with a wicked stage show. Janaya "Sista J" Ellis is the lead vocalist and bassist, and is backed by a solid ensemble of multi talented reggae musicians.
