Event Description

THE SET-UP Three computers, a couple vintage synthesizers, a guitar, a vocoder, a bunch of drum modules and a 707 to sequence them, and five guys who know how to play everything. We jam for three hours straight, usually with three or more of us playing at any one time. Each of us focuses on one elemnt of the mix. Usually, Pema's on the ambient synthesizers, Nathan's on the hard beats or basslines, Mike's on the wacky IDM beats, Ryan's on his guitar and Jake (who joined us a couple weeks ago) is on funky world-beat fx and drums on his iMac. But then Pema will start playing the guitar, Mike might take off for awhile and have a coffee, Nathan might hop on Pema's computer... it's a very cool, flexible show. When they get bored of a song, then end it and start over. DANCE MUSIC DISCLAIMER: ... more...
