Three hours of live, abstract, lush, weird and beautiful electronic music at the grindstone cafe, across from value village. Pay cover as you leave if you feel like it. Bring your kids, siblings and parents. I'm Pema and I'll answer the questions I always get when I'm asked about this show... Q: So what kind of house will you be spinning? A: We don't play house and we don't play records. There are no turntables. We sometimes play dance music but this is not a dance club event. We focus on the kind of music we're into: weird electronic stuff, played live using actual instruments. Q: So, are you mixing loops on your computer then? A: for the most part, no. We use samples of drums and stuff, like a bang sound for the kickdrum and some noise for a snare, and we use sampled drum ... more...
