Love is My Religion, Ziggy’s just-released second solo album, showcases his talents as a songwriter, musician and producer. The disc expands on the social, political and spiritual themes of his debut. Its musical centre is reggae, peppered by African percussion and other flavours. The subversively danceable “Into the Groove” opens the disc, while the slinky “Black Cat” deals with overcoming stereotypes and superstition. Love songs also figure prominently on the album—Marley got married two years ago. With special guests.
