**Please note: originally scheduled guest Rhymefest will not be appearing** Part of the alternative rap movement, Jurassic 5 has been helping keep the ethos of old-school hip-hop alive since forming in 1993. The five-piece L.A. crew is celebrated for the tag-team delivery of its four MCs, who harmonize on choruses and drop positive and inventive lyrics, interspersed with self-promotion and social commentary. Taking its message outside of trad hip-hop circles, the 5 have opened for Fiona Apple, played on the 2000 Vans Warped Tour and 2003 Lollapalooza, and has appeared at the Reading and Bonnaroo festivals.
