Event Description

Four Hours is a weekly live electronic jam that seems to get more diverse with each show. A bunch of local artists team up and bring their live gear. Any style goes, from complete beatless ambience to forceful rhythmic chaos. Pema from lotusboy.com is the proprietor, and he can be reached at pema@lotusboy.com with questions. LAST WEEK was an incredible tour de force through the possibilities of IDM, downtempo, synthpop, hip hop, newschool glitchy techno, ambient and abstract rhythm.... My favourite elements were during Nathan's takeover of my PowerBook, during which time Nick and I were putting Nick's guitar through Nathan's vocoder, and modulating it with the microphone signal, I did some rapping through the vocoder, Nick, Glenn and I were playing riffs from different styles of rock... more...
