The band itself has been a force in the extreme metal scene since 1996, when guitarist Michael Amott formed Arch Enemy after leaving Carcass. Arch Enemy’s first three albums, including Black Earth, Stigmata, and Burning Bridges, won worldwide acclaim for their flawlessly executed dual guitar playing and ultra-fast tempos.
