http://www.mountainmardigras.org/ Mountain Mardi Gras is a new event by Public Dreams Society and produced in partnership with the North Vancouver Community Arts Council. It was created and developed by Public Dreams, Artist-in-Residence, Vanessa Richards. Mountain Mardi Gras slips across boundaries. It cultivates the ancient and the modern impulses for masquerading and community celebrations. It is a summons to the good people of the West Coast Rain Forest to gather in the splendour of the North Shore mountains and jump into the ring of international carnival culture. We will celebrate the land, its creatures and ourselves. At Mountain Mardi Gras, Raven will be our host.
