Returning for their fifth season in residence at Christ Church Cathedral, the Emily Carr String Quartet snapshots eight composers from classical to contemporary in this series of “Portraits.” With their reputation for commissioning works honouring the great painter, the quartet revisits old ground by reviving commissions by Tobin Stokes and Jocelyn Morlock and forges new paths with the launch of their new album.
