Since winning Vancouver Island's "Songbird Talent Competition" in 1998, Allison Crowe's star has been soaring. One of the most amazing vocal talents with the "ballsy power of Janis Joplin and the lilting sweetness of Sarah McLachlan," her music appeals to a wide range of audiences including jazz-lovers, folk afficionados, and alterna-rockers. Allison Crowe plays with Dave Baird (on upright acoustic and fretless electric bass) and Kevin Clevette on drums for this special Port Theatre stage debut of Nanaimo's amazing talent on the rise.
