Victoria Folk Music Society weekly gathering; Everyone welcome jam 6:45pm, Open Stage 7:30pm, Feature Performers The Ecclestons at 9pm; Norway House, 1110 Hillside Avenue, $8 cash at the door Together for 24 years, touring all over Western Canada and the U.S., The Ecclestons are a Folk band in the true sense of the word: playing music of the people, for the people! Known for their infectious humour, joyfulness, and harmony, this Victoria-based band has a massive Celtic and Canadian repertoire along-side their own solid songwriting, tackling everything from ‘bombs falling from the sky’ to the fires raging in Alberta and Montana, to siren’s song and dancing outside on a summer night.
