Victoria Folk Music Society weekly gathering, Open Stage 7:30pm, Feature Performer Jake Galbraith at 9pm, 1110 Hillside Avenue, $8 cash, Everyone welcome! Jake Galbraith has been a folkie singer and strummer since the late 1950s, and he has seen more than a few things along the way! A California native, he immigrated to Canada in 1970 to avoid the toxic politics and policies of the USA. His obsession with music has led to him being a multi-instrumentalist and to being conversant with several musical genres. He has been active in the Vancouver Island music scene since 1973 and performed widely across Canada and in the USA.
