David Sinclair and Keith Bennett return to Blue Frog with their extraordinary musicianship and quirky musical buffet. Sinclair plays acoustic guitar with untouched grace, dexterity and wisdom. His lifelong dedication to the instrument is evident in every phrase. Watching him play is an emotional ride, from excitement at his warp speed picking, to amazement at his guitar/percussion multi-tasking, to being stirred by his strumming of a tender ballad. Bennett’s harmonica playing is expressive and nuanced like none other, and he excels at improvisation. With each hole of a chromatic harmonica containing four notes, it’s mind boggling to watch Bennett extract fast, complex phrasing from the instrument.
