Event Description
Tucked in among the recycling depots just east of the Bay Street Bridge, a nondescript, three-story building buzzes daily with creative activity. Here, First Nations artists carve modern versions of traditional masks, painters daub oil and acrylic on canvas, leather crafters sew belts and bags. On November 18 and 19, nearly twenty artists and makers at Rock Bay Square—from furniture makers to jewelers, to makers of re-usable bees wax food wrap—are opening their studio doors to the public, just in time for the holiday season. They invite you to come and join the conviviality, ask them questions about their craft, and watch them in action. Who knows?
