Jazz contrabassist, singer and composer, Brandi Disterheft, has captivated audiences in Canada, Europe, Japan, China, Haiti and even the coveted Carnegie Hall. It’s not only her fiery bass playing that makes audiences stand-up and holler, but also her innovative live shows. She sings in both English and French, showcasing her ambient and dreamy voice. Returning to Victoria this fall, she’s touring her fourth album Blue Canvas, featuring New York City’s legendary jazz pianist Harold Mabern and acclaimed drummer Joe Farnsworth. The album is a collection of compositions that make immediate impact with eloquent instrumentals.
