Vinyl Envy Presents: An ALL AGES special event in-store featuring Martin Springett with The Gardening Club at 1717 Quadra Street Martin Springett has deep artistic roots in the city of Victoria, joining his first bands and beginning his artistic career here as well. (He created the iconic Munro's Bookmark which has been in use since 1971). In 1984, UK-born Martin Springett—an accomplished musician and illustrator who had produced comics for the legendary Heavy Metal magazine and designed and illustrated record covers for Columbia—was commissioned to illustrate the cover of 'The Summer Tree' by Guy Gavriel Kay, the first novel of the acclaimed Fionavar Tapestry Trilogy.
