Event Description
From early Baroque composers, through the Romantic Russian Choral tradition, to exquisite settings of carols, we will explore the stories of Mary and her messengers. We offer music by Dieterich Buxtehude, Josquin des Pres, Sergei Rachmaninov and many others, in praise of the Angels, the Shepherds, and Mary herself, as well as some traditional carols in arrangements by John Rutter & David Willcocks.There will be no intermission during this concert but as usual at the Christmas show our audience is invited to linger over hot cider and a variety of snacks - served in the Narthex
