Event Description

Vancouver Bach Choir joins together with Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and an esteemed ensemble of Canadian soloists for Mendelssohn’s iconic masterpiece Elijah, March 28, 2015 at 8pm at The Orpheum (601 Smithe Street). Conducted by VBC Music Director Leslie Dala, the magnificent oratorio is ripe with exquisite melodies, contemplative recitatives, and stirring choruses - crafted in the spirit of Bach and Handel’s great works. Combining the power of more than one hundred voices and the outstanding soloist talents of Giles Tomkins, Eve-Lyn de la Haye, Krisztina Szabó and Adam Fisher - Elijah will leave listeners in a state of bliss and wonder.
