Event Description

Live at the Commodore Book Launch in Vancouver Aaron Chapman launches his book Live at the Commodore, an illustrated history of Vancouver's venerable Commodore Ballroom, on November 26 at the legendary club itself. Join us for history, readings, and live music. Admission is free with ticket or reservation. The evening will be hosted by BC Book Prize winning author and CBC Radio 3 broadcaster Grant Lawrence, and will include plenty of entertainment from the Jazzmanian Devils and other surprise special musical guests. Also featured as part of the evening, The Vancouver Heritage Foundation will present one of its Places that Matter plaques to the Commodore Ballroom recognizing its significance to the city as perhaps its most enduring and vital concert venue.
