: Declan O’Donovan, David Newberry, and Daniel Moir Award-winning songwriter and singer/pianist Declan O’Donovan is launching his new solo career in 2012 with a new alt. roots/blues album and a cross-Canada tour. Dark and soulful, with occasional twists of wicked humour, Declan’s music crosses boundaries as easily he does, a born-and-raised Yukon boy who now lives part-time in Montreal and boasts dual citizenship with Ireland and Canada. Over the last two decades, Declan has performed with numerous bands, including the beloved Yukon-based alternative blues/rock group Scotch. He recently won the Blues Category in the Westcoast Songwriters International Songwriting Competition for Cheap Souvenir, featured on his new album.
