Event Description

This musical evening of waltzes, marches, and intermezzos, is graced by tenor David Prestley. Programme highlights include music by Albert Ketelbey, Eric Coates and Haydn Wood as well as the tango "Jealousy", Edward German's "Merrie England", and selections from Vivian Ellis' "Bless the Bride" featuring "This is my Lovely Day!" Our soirée will include an 80th birthday dedication to Ernest Tomlinson. David Prestley, tenor: David Prestley holds a Bachelor's of Arts degree from the University of British Columbia where he majored in German and Italian. He attended the Banff Centre where he sang the role of Don Ottavio in Mozart's Don Giovanni. The Nanaimo native has also appeared as a soloist in Germany for Bremen Radio broadcasts of Mozart's Requiem and Thamos in Egypt. As a guest a... more...
