Event Description
The VCC Jazz Orchestra presents an evening of the best in big band jazz, ranging from classic compositions made famous by Duke Ellington, Paul Whiteman and Tommy Dorsey along with newer works by leader Alan Matheson.In honour of his centenary, the VCC Jazz Orchestra will also pay tribute to the innovative composer and bandleader Stan Kenton. Along with their swinging instrumentals, the VCC Jazz Orchestra will present the talented vocalists Marlena Kurek and Caitlin Toom.
