Local artist Mark Crickmay's solo project Primary combines spooky new-wave textures with post-punk nuances to create an aggressive sound with well rounded atmospheric edges. Drawing upon the use of analogue synthesizers and drum machines, Primary takes you to a place that its coveted parent genre's could not find. http://www.myspace.com/primaryvan Shimmering Stars is a three piece dream pop act from British Columbia, Canada. It is a reinterpretation of the music of the late 1950s and 1960s, with a distinctly modern twist. In a lot of the music of the late 1950s and 1960s there is a darkness just below the surface, though at first glance the songs appear to be wholesome and innocent.
