The fruition of the 2011 FolkWest music festival gathers momentum with another fundraising concert: The Sweet Lowdown Amanda Blied's love affair with old time music began nine years ago, upon hearing the early recordings of Doc Watson and Clarence Ashley; it reminded her of the songs her dad sang around the house when she was growing up. She's travelled across Canada and throughout the United States tracings the roots of the music she loves.
