Rowan Lipkovits fronts the jug band of the damned, the Creaking Planks, and specialises in musical impishness: squeezing music out of his box which was never intended for it and playing sad songs with great gusto and happy abandon. Once you feel you know what to expect, he ducks and weaves again, throwing the listener and avoiding being pinned down. Natasha Enquist straddles the worlds of the musical, the visual and the dramatic, cutting a figure on the theatrical stage and no less striking behind the megaphone with Bučan Bučan.
